Salman Khan starrer Bharat was released on the festival of Eid. The film on the opening day has recorded smashing numbers at the box office.
The period drama helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar as created history by collecting a hefty amount of Rs 42.30 crore on its first day. The film has beaten the record of Salman’s 2015 release Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Rs 40.35 crore). It has emerged as the biggest opener of his career.
Now on the fourth day of the release, Bharat has entered Rs 100 crore club by collecting Rs 26.70 cr. on Saturday thereby taking the collection to 122.20 cr, confirmed Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh

Bharat received positive and rave reviews from film critics across the country. The word of mouth, too, is favourable, which encouraged on-spot bookings and helped it stay strong throughout the day.
The movie stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. It also features Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani and Tabu in important roles, among others. The film is an official adaptation of the 2014 South Korean drama Ode To My Father.
The film is all set to witness more growth on Sunday.
