A series of videos which shows the encounter between Madhya Pradesh Police and the under trial SIMI activists, who escaped from jail, casts doubt over the state administration’s claim that they had killed in a gun battle.

An exclusive video accessed by India Today shows an armed police commando shooting bullets apparently at a dead man .

In the footage, a plain cloth was pulling out a brand new knife, wrapped in a thin plastic sheet, from one of the bodies.

No fire arms were spotted near the bodies. The mobile phone video was reportedly filmed by a villager when the police were examining the body of the suspects. The authenticity of the video is yet to be verified.

A second video purportedly shows five SIMI suspects waving, apparently seems to turn themselves in.

In the audio, police were supposedly heard wireless messages from the control room about the whereabouts of the men, who appeared to be unarmed.

Police were also receiving orders to surround them.

Many Politicians and activists questioned the state narrative on Bhopal encounter.

Speaking exclusively to South Live, Thahavur Khan, Defense lawyer of the alleged SIMI activist, said that there is a huge conspiracy behind the killing and demands a high-level enquiry.

“Those men were saying they have total faith in judiciary. It was shocking for me, when I heard about the encounter. I told their family that there is something fishy in it and there is a lie”, he said

The advocated rubbished the chance of jail break and said that “why would they do such a thing when they knew that they are going to be acquitted?”

Even the security is tight in the jail. I had been there number of times. It is one of the safest and secure jail in India. There is seven layer security in the jail” he added.

Arvind Kejriwal tweeted , “This is very serious. We demand a Supreme Court-monitored investigation,”

Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh CM Digvijaya Singh suspected a conspiracy behind the incident. In a series of tweets, he asked if the prisoners escaped or were made to escape. He also demanded a probe into it.

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi took to twitter to say that ‘accused armed with ‘chamcha’ will be strictly handled in the country, while’ chamchas’ will be walking free.
