Lalu Prasad’s party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has given a call for a Bihar bandh on December 21 in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

To mark the protest, the protesters gathered on the streets, burned tires and raised slogans against CAA. Also. several RJD activists took off their shirt at Ganj Chowk in Darbhanga and blocked roads.

Furious protesters set fire to the road in Patna Bhikhana hill, thereby jamming the Patna bypass while Jogbani-Katihar passenger train was stopped by protesters at Forbesganj station of Araria.

As per media reports, RJD workers got to streets at Ramashish Chowk in Hajipur and jammed the road with cattle.

According to a tweet by news agency, the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) party workers also joined the protest and broke barricades during a demonstration in Patna against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

The bandh which was initially scheduled for December 22, but was later preponed so that the police recruitment exams on Sunday were not affected and held smoothly.
