On Tuesday afternoon, Jan 14, ‘Jai Shri ram’ and ‘Hindu Hriday Samrat slogans along with hundreds of black balloons greeted UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during his Gaya Gandhi Maidan meet.

The UP CM was present to clarify the misgivings about the controversial CAA. Contrary to expectations, apprehensions, and disappointment of the aggressive Hindutva votaries, the UP Chief Minister delivered a somewhat sober and brief speech that lasted only 28 minutes.

With Yogi into the 20th minute of his speech, hundreds of black balloons were spotted at the sky in Gandhi Maidan. The protest balloons appeared from the northern side of Gandhi Maidan.

Both Yogi and meet organizers ignored the protest balloons and Yogi ended his speech shortly thereafter.

He said India has the age-old tradition of giving shelter to those who seek refuge but driving out infiltrators. This is what CAA is all about.

Taking a swipe at Congress, Yogi said the party has the temerity of opposing the CAA in the name of the Constitution, which it had strangled by the imposition of Emergency.
