According to the authorities, the group ran a cheating ring out of a tutoring facility called “Indian Physical Academy Sheikhantola, Ekbana.” On the neighborhood’s athletic fields, where young hopefuls met for running and other physical activities, they looked for suitable recruits. We detained their leader Sunil Kumar, a native of Deehi village in the Choudai PS region, after gathering intelligence for more than a week. Candidates paid their gang between 2-4 lakhs with the promise that they would help them pass the recruitment exam.

“After receiving the money, the gang gave the candidates electronic devices so they could cheat,” he continued. A receiving device would be concealed behind the candidates’ clothes, coupled to a small Bluetooth earpiece they would wear.

The ally would be positioned close to the testing location, using a walkie-talkie to communicate with the test-takers through the earpieces they were wearing. The walkie-talkie device we acquired has a range of about 100 metres, SP Yadav revealed. The candidate could have gotten past security and taken the test because of how little the earpiece was.
