Patna: In a shocking incident, a bride in Bihar has denied marrying her would-be-husband who arrived in a drunk state to their wedding. The groom was a police constable and was arrested soon after the incident took place.
According to a news agency’s report, the groom, Uday Rajak resident of Tilakpur village who was posted in Nalanda district had reached the house of Yogendra Rajak to exchange garlands with his daughter.
Reports suggest that the groom and his family members were drunk and they had a dispute with the bride’s maternal uncle Prasoon Kumar Rajak. When the bride got to know about the incident she withdrew her decision of marrying the cop.
Amidst the incident, villagers informed the police about the happenings following which the groom was arrested by the police. FIR has been lodged against the groom and his family members were not arrested by the police.
This is the second such incident of bridal rejection in the district within a period of three days.
