Bihar: JDU MLA resigns from party over increasing lawlessness and deteriorating system

Janata Dal (United) has got a shock from its own legislator from Barharia constituency of Siwan district. Unhappy with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s rule, JDU MLA Shyam Bahadur Singh has offered his resignation to state party Chief Vashishtha Narayan Singh. Increasing lawlessness and deteriorating system to control crime is the prime reason behind it.

Shyam Bahadur, who went to tender his resignation at Narayna Singh’s residence, couldn’t meet him as he was not at home. MLA Bahadur Singh is alleging that the locked sugar mill land in their area is being sold by land mafia. Also, the poor people who are raising their voice against this mafia are being prosecuted. He further alleged that their voices are not being heard by the authorities.

As per his claim- the government is failing to control crime. It is our government but then also they seem to be helpless. Apart from this, JDU MLA complained that district administration is not paying attention to him.

He allegedly claimed about a mafia raj. He said, there is a land mafia raj in the district as Pachrukhi Sugar factory’s land was forcibly acquired by land mafia and when locals protested against it, they were implicated with bogus FIR. After repeated instructions to the district administration, there was no rectification. He also said that he will not join any other party and expect the Chief Minister to take cognizance of his resignation at the earliest with some strict action.
