Bihar: Jeweler shot dead by two bike-borne assailants in Bhojpur

SHO of Bahara police station Awadhesh Kumar said a local criminal is suspected to be involved in the incident. ASP Ambrish Rahul said the reason behind the murder is unknown.

Ara: A 24-year-old jeweler Shriman Narayan Gupta of Nathmalpur village belonging from Barhara police station area in Bhojpur district was shot by two bike-borne criminals on Sunday. He succumbed to his injuries later, he was the son of late Ram Kumar Gupta. He was shot at around 8am in Nathmalpur market area on Sunday.

After he was shot, he was rushed to Ara Sadar hospital from where the doctors referred him to the PMCH. The jeweller also had engagement in garment business.

SHO of Bahara police station Awadhesh Kumar said a local criminal is suspected to be involved in the incident. ASP Ambrish Rahul said the reason behind the murder is unknown.

In another incident, the badly decomposed body of 20-year-old Om Prakash Ram, son of Ramrup Ram of Manichhapra village under the Barhara police station area, was found in a mustard field near Bengali Baba Ka Sthan under the Barhara police station area on Sunday morning.

The family members of the deceased, Om said that he had been missing since December 22 and they had informed the police on December 23 about that.
