Patna: In an encounter between a criminal gang and the police team, police constable Mukesh Singh was shot at and succumbed to the injury later in the hospital in Patna on Monday. He was posted in the SSP cell. Mukesh was resident of Aara district.
Patna police got information about a noted criminal’s hide-out in bypass area between Ramkrishnagar and Kankarbaag near Patna Central School.
As per information, the police team reached the spot with a special force to arrest, Ujjawal, a known criminal but after reaching the location, there was heavy firing from criminal gang’s side. After several rounds of firing, this gun fight lasted for half an hour, as Patna IG, Naiyar Hasnain Khan confirmed the details of the incident.
Patna City SSP, Manu Maharaj has ordered search all over the area with heavy blockade near the site of encounter.
