Magadh University has put the principal and the examination controller of SKM college, Nawada under suspension and appointed new people on the post after the initial reports and explanation furnished by the alleged accused person in the paper leak case.

SKM college’s governing body newly appointed secretary, Prof Radhekant Prasad has ordered the suspension of the principal and the examination controller with immediate effect and also appointed a college teacher Prof BK Pandey as the new principal of the college.

Prof Prasad said that the principal and the examination controller of the SKM has been replaced after the vice-chancellor directed them.

For the uninitiated, the question paper of the degree part one examination of the university was leaked from SKM college, Nawada in which the now sacked principal and examination controller was found to be involved.

Not only has this, but the suspended principal and examination controller also confessed to have opened the packet of question papers a day earlier to the exam when they were probed by the university panel.

As per the reports by the university sources, the degree part one examination for the session 2018 was announced by the university and the detailed programs were declared.

Although the examinations of Mathematics and Economics were scheduled on June 28 and June 29 but the question papers were leaked on June 25 and were made viral on social media.

Following the reports of paper leakage immediately the examinations were canceled and a committee was set up to probe the incident and to find out the culprit. Also, the university also slapped show-cause notices on the SKM college of Nawada.
