Patna: Zonal IG Nayyar Hasnain Khan has formed Special Investigative Team (SIT) to investigate the police line rampage by the trainee police constables on November 2.
SSP will lead the SIT and it will investigate the entire matter and collect the evidence. Action against the trainee constables will be taken on the basis of evidence collected by SIT.
On November 2, trainee police constables went on a rampage after the death of a fellow colleague Savita Pathak. In the revolt by the trainee constables, they attempted to lynch police line DSP Mohammad Mashluddin allegedly for denying sick leave to Pathak.
On November 4, 175 constables including 167 trainees were dismissed from the service two days after the revolt.
