Once ready, this new building will place several offices and directorates of the Education Department in one place. That means the department can run its work from a single main hub.

This step is expected to cut down on offices working from separate sites. It should also make it easier for different directorates to coordinate with each other. Earlier notes from Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari say the new plan will set aside space for senior department offices. It will also include primary and secondary education directorates.
