In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old woman was allegedly burnt alive by three men for resisting harassment. The incident took place 15 days ago in a village that comes under Chandpura OP police station of the Vaishali district in Bihar. The accused men allegedly splashed kerosene oil on her and then burnt her alive. The relatives of the survivor admitted her to the PMCH hospital, however, unfortunately, the girl succumbed to her injuries after 15 days of treatment.
According to the relatives of the girl, a man named Satish Yadav is the main culprit. Yadav reportedly teased the survivor often, the girl one day complained about his behaviour to his family members, he then caught the survivor along with two other people, reportedly harassed her and then burnt her alive when she resisted the act.
Till today, which is 15 days after the incident, the police have reportedly not arrested anyone. The police knew about the brutal incident immediately, they went to the hospital to record her statement but didn’t file an FIR. Four days after the incident when the video of the girl’s statement went viral, the police hastily filed an FIR. Till date no arrests have been made.
