There is no treatment available at the moment to cure the deadly coronavirus and that is why the government is requesting everyone to practice social distancing as this is the only way to break the chain of its outbreak. While Bharatiya Janata Party-led Uttar Pradesh government is asking the administration to ensure proper implementation of social distancing, a senior party leader himself was seen flouting norms in Sitapur district of the state.

BJP’s Member of Parliament (MP) Kaushal Kishore flouted lockdown guidelines in the district on Saturday.

He was not alone to do this as several top officials of the state government were seen not bothering about social distancing norms.

A video of this incident is being shared on social media and DM Akhilesh Tiwari, SP LR Kumar along with SDM Sadar Amit Bhatt too can be seen flouting the norm.

Kishore was at Collector’s office along with his supporters and party members to express gratitude towards coronavirus warriors amid nationwide lockdown.

He distributed fruit baskets, sanitizers, and masks among police personnel, doctors, and social workers. But no one bothered to follow the social distancing.

However, this is not the first incident of the BJP leader and officials flouting social distancing norms. Earlier to this, Mahendra Yadav – a BJP MLA from Biswan assembly constituency in Sitapur district – was seen not following social distancing while distributing sanitizer and mask.

Meanwhile, the number of total cases in the state has increased to around 2,500. So far 44 deaths have been reported and 698 patients have been discharged from hospitals after treatment in the state.
