BJP supporters indulge into cat-fight among themselves over rising petrol prices under Modi governance

While the nation faces the fury of rising Rupee mark and increasing petrol prices in the Modi-led BJP governance, two of the party supporters – Sanju Verma and Sonam Mahajan – get into a heated argument among themselves on national television, debating over the failure or success of Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Sonam Mahajan, a political analyst was asked amid the debate to put forward her views over Prime Minister Narender Modi’s leadership and role in the increasing fuel prices. Responding to the question, Sonam Mahajan claimed that previous government can’t be blamed solely for the present day situation. Sonam said that both – the Centre and State governments levy taxes to the public and hence even BJP cannot be called responsible for the increasing crude oil prices. In fact, Sonam claimed that crude oil prices have come down under the BJP government in comparison to the prices under opposition rule.

The debate turned tangy for the viewers when arguments shifted from economic analysis of petrol prices to the party parties pressuring the spokespersons to suppress the criticism.

Targeting Sanju Varma, Sonam alleged political parties overpower and say “Shut Up” to the ones who criticise the faults of the administrations. Responding to Sonam’s allegations, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson from Mumbai said: “You are a troll.”
