Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak announced on Monday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will field one of its prominent leaders in the upcoming Mainpuri bypolls. In response to the Samajwadi Party’s decision to field Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav as a candidate in the upcoming Mainpuri bypolls, Deputy Chief Minister said that the BJP will win with a landslide.

“The BJP will support one of its prominent leaders for the seat. We will announce the candidate’s name once it has been decided. This time, the BJP will win in Mainpuri, and the lotus will bloom in this byelection “Pathak stated while speaking with ANI. “Our government has planned to take action against those who seized government properties illegally,” Brajesh Pathak said of the encroachment of government properties.

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party leader Dimple Yadav has left to file her nomination for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh on Monday.

Dimple Yadav is the wife of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, who is expected to carry on the legacy of her father-in-law Mulayam Singh Yadav by winning the seat. The seat of Mainpuri, a Samajwadi Party stronghold, became vacant on October 10 following the death of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Several party workers and leaders paid a visit to Akhilesh Yadav’s Safai residence in Uttar Pradesh before she filed her nominations.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, party veteran Ram Gopal, and other leaders including Dharmendra Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav will be present when Dimple Yadav files her nomination, according to Alok Shakya, SP district president of Mainpuri. The bypoll will be held on December 5, and the results will be announced on December 8, coinciding with the results of the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections.

The deadline for filing nominations is November 17, and the deadline for scrutiny is November 18. Candidates will have until November 21 to withdraw their candidacy.
