BTS Jungkook Hits #1 on iTunes Charts

BTS Jungkook Hits #1 on iTunes Charts: The 11th anniversary of BTS’ debut was commemorated by the release of Jungkook’s new single, ‘Never Let Go,’ dedicated to his fans as part of FESTA 2024’s special content. The song has garnered significant attention and achieved remarkable success on global music charts.

As of June 8, 2024, Jungkook’s ‘Never Let Go’ was on top of iTunes charts in 100 countries, including the United States. Besides dominating European iTunes charts, the track also gained the number one spot in several countries, including Italy, Germany, France, and more. Jungkook’s popularity was also demonstrated by the number one position it achieved across various regions in Asia.

‘Never Let Go’ is part of FESTA 2024, a two-week celebration leading up to BTS’ 11th debut anniversary on June 13, 2024. A longstanding tradition between BTS and their fans, known as ARMY, FESTA has been celebrating their debut with new music, videos, and fan interactions.

Jungkook made his K-pop debut with BTS in 2013, along with Jin, RM, Jimin, J-Hope, V, and Suga. Since then, BTS has become one of the most influential and successful K-pop groups in history, breaking numerous records and achieving global fame.

As part of his mandatory military service in South Korea, Jungkook is currently on hiatus. He enlisted in 2023 and is currently in the 5th Infantry Division. Along with other BTS members, he is expected to be discharged around 2025, paving the way for the full reunion of the group.

Despite his military service, Jungkook’s thoughtful gesture of releasing ‘Never Let Go’ has deeply touched fans. The song, dedicated to ARMY, highlights Jungkook’s continued connection and appreciation for his supporters. Jungkook expressed his regret over not being able to perform the song live due to his military commitments in a heartfelt message on Weverse after its release.

In his message, Jungkook wrote, “ARMY, did you receive my song gift well? I hope you like it. I worked on it thinking about you from the beginning. Actually, it’s a song that I wanted to show you along with a house genre dance. It’s a performance song. But I didn’t have time to perform it. Too bad. If I could turn back time, I would have shot it somehow.”

As he added, “Please understand that part, and that is why I am posting this way! Anyway, it’s already our 11th debut anniversary. Thanks for always being here with us. I hope you stay healthy and don’t get sick. The summers are very hot, so keep an eye out for that! Goodbye.”
