Pranay Patil gets instant stardom after his first novel, ‘Burgundy Winters in Europe’, which became an overnight bestseller. The book was Amazon’s top-selling book last month and now the author released his book for Indians at an event in Bangalore where he was interviewed by journalist Rajdeep Sardesai.
Anyone who has worked with Patil knows that his work is both social and scholarly in nature. He has helped people in rural areas overcome certain stigmas and discrimination, and now he says that even though his first book has become a hit, the money that he has made through this book will go to charity and for the education of children from marginalised sections of society.
Burgundy Winters in Europe has been getting great reviews and American readers are in love with it so far. The book was Amazon America’s bestseller last month. The author, Patil , says that he’s always been a prolific reader for as long as he can remember and often found himself writing either in a notebook or on a computer but had never really thought about publishing anything until last year when he felt like going all out.
Patil who has completed his engineering in Germany said that he has observed European culture closely which helped him make create an original piece. He said that he is grateful for the love that he has received from his readers and said that it was his duty to make this book available for mainstream readers of India.
Patil was all praises for Rajdeep Sardesai and said that he was a great host and knew exactly what needed to be said and done when the going got tough. Patil admires him for that.
‘Burgundy Winters in Europe’ is a story about an American rock star named Jace Tanner who must deal with the consequences of his party lifestyle after his bandmate Aiden overdosed in his arms. Jace finds himself spiraling into a depressing and overpowering hole as he tries to cope with the horrors of losing someone so close to him and soon finds out there is a new girl in his life that may be able to help pull him out of this newly formed pit of grief. They begin developing a relationship together but it soon takes on a paranormal turn.
The book has been a hit all around the world and has been published by Crystal Peake Publishers in England. The official book launch event was held at Higginbothams, 74 MG Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka on 7th of May, 2022.
