A senior California couple woke up out of the blue after a teen broke into their house while they were sleeping. To their astonishment, all that the teenager wanted from the elderly couple was their WiFi password. After the couple raised an alarm, the burglar was thrashed into the hall of the house and later was handed over to the police.
After examining the 17-year-old, police said that no weapon was found with him but the motive of his intrusion is yet to be identified. According to the residents two kitchen knives are missing from their house.
Initially the teen was wearing a mask on his face but later he was identified as a neighbor of the elderly couple. Police declined from providing the boys name because of him being a minor.
Apparently, this is not the first time a case like this has been registered in California. According to the police another male and a female had complained of an intrusion where a teen asked them for WiFi. On denying to fulfill his demand the teenager took away their bike. After getting arrested he confronted that his data had finished and he needed internet to use.
Police said that the 911 had also received a call from someone complaining about an intrusion during midnight, where the lady witnessed a teenage boy outside her bedroom window, trying to get her attention.
