As the third quarter of financial year begins from today, a number of changes are expected to take place.

Here is a list of new rules that are to be implemented from today:

1.Cheques of these 6 banks to become invalid:

Cheques of SBI’s associate banks will become invalid from Sunday. The banks are State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, State Bank of Raipur, State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Hyderabad and Bhartiya Mahila Bank. These banks were earlier merged with SBI. Also, the Monthly Average Balance for metro cities will become Rs 3000 from Rs 5000.

2. Call rates may decrease:
From today call rates might plunge as TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) had announced to slash the Interconnect Usage Charge (IUC) from 1 October. TRAI decided to bring down the IUC charges from 14 paise to 6 per minute.

3. New MRP:
As per reports, shopkeepers will not be able to sell products on old MRP from today onwards. Earlier, the government had said that last date for selling items on old MRP is 30 September and action would be taken against anyone who is caught selling items of old MRP.

4. No queue on Toll Plaza:
From today onwards all the National Highways across the country will be equipped with Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) and for this people will have access to FASTag that can be obtained through AppFrom call rates to queues at toll plaza, here’s all that may change from today
