A team of Uttar Pradesh police visited Bollywood actor Sonakshhi Sinha’s house in Mumbai on Thursday in connection to a case of cheating filed against her.
Going by the reports, an event organiser named Pramod Sharma had filed a complaint against Sonakshi with the police in Moradabad in February 2018. In the complaint, he accused the Dabangg actor of not turning up for an event in New Delhi at the very last moment after accepting a booking amount of Rs 24 lakhs.
The UP police reached her home to take her statement in the case but since the actress was not present, they left after waiting for a few hours. However, they are likely to visit the actress again.
As reported by Mumbai Mirror, the actress’s spokesperson refuted the reports and said, “In her nine years long career, she has only worked with complete honesty and sincerity. What this man is accusing her of is completely untrue and baseless. This is just a way of extortion by maligning her spot free reputation in the press and it is not something that Sonakshi and her team will succumb to. She is a thorough professional and we have been more than cooperative with whichever authorities that have gotten in touch with us because we have nothing to hide.”
On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha is all set to tickle funny bones with her next film, Khandaani Shafakhana. She is playing the role of a sexologist in the film. She will also be seen in Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal. The actress is playing the role of an ISRO scientist in the film.
In Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3, she will be seen reprising the role of Rajjo from the previous Dabangg films. Another film, Bhuj: The Pride Of India, which is war film, is also in the pipeline.
