Almost 16 months after the GST was introduced by the Indian government, CASIO has announced the launch of the first ever GST calculator in the country.
The calculator is said to be powered with In-built GST tabs, catering to the requirements of the initially launched 5 slab-system(0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, 28%). With different tabs, the calculator will help the user in minimizing the time used over cumbersome calculations.
The calculation of base pay is a usual headache for the traders, the CASIO calculator attempts to solve this problem. It is powered with a tax-mode application which can instantly calculate both, the base value of a product and the profit(net) earned over it.
The calculator has another key called, GST+/ TAX-. This one helps in computing values in the two formats.
GST+ mode: Calculates gross value from base value.
TAX- mode: Calculates base value from gross value.
The calculator comes in two variants, MJ-120 GST at a price of Rs 398 and MJ-12GST at a price of Rs 475.
