CBSE Class 10, 12 Date Sheet 2027: Students taking the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exams 2027 are still waiting. They have not received the timetable yet. The Central Board of Secondary Education has not shared the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 date sheet for 2027. It also has not said when the timetable will be released.
At the moment, the board is working on the 2026-27 exam schedule. Students should check the official CBSE website when they want the real timetable. Other links may confuse people.
CBSE Class 10, 12 Date Sheet 2027: Possible Release Window
If we look at how CBSE has released schedules before, a tentative date sheet for 2027 may come in late September 2026. After that, the final timetable might be out in October 2026.
Still, these are only guesses. They are not official dates.
In the previous round, CBSE shared the tentative Class 10 and Class 12 date sheets for the 2026 exams on September 24, 2025. The final date sheet came later, on October 30, 2025.
What Does the Past Trend Show?
The release timeline has varied considerably in recent years:
- CBSE 2026: Tentative date sheet on September 24, 2025; final date sheet on October 30, 2025.
- CBSE 2025: Date sheet released on November 20, 2024.
- CBSE 2024: Date sheet released on December 11, 2023.
- CBSE 2023: The board’s date-sheet process extended into late December 2022.
This year’s plan may match the earlier September to October window used for the 2026 exams. Still, CBSE has not confirmed the same timing for 2027.

When Will The CBSE Board Exams For 2027 Start?
The exact dates for Class 10 and Class 12 are not out yet.
In most years, CBSE board exams begin in February. So for 2027, the main exams may fall in the February to March stretch, based on what CBSE later publishes in its official schedule.
The Board, as per an Indian Express report, has started the basic admin work for the next round of tests. The plan is to hire an agency that will read “flying slips” with candidates’ details. These slips include names, ID numbers, roll numbers, centre numbers, and subject codes. The reading process would use ICR, OCR, and OMR. After that, the data will be checked against CBSE’s admission list. It will also be reviewed for mistakes and repeated entries.
In the tender papers, the Board estimates that about 29.89 lakh students from Classes 10 and 12 will take the 2027-28 exams. The tests are to be handled through 24 regional offices.
Class 10 Students
For Class 10, there is one key update.
CBSE started the two board exam system for Class 10 from 2026. The first test happens during the main exam period. The second test gives another chance, as per CBSE board rules. CBSE had already put out notices and a separate timetable for this second exam in 2026.
So, students in Class 10 for 2027 should keep an eye on CBSE for instructions for both exam parts.
