CBSE to conduct NEET exam on May 7

CBSE will conduct National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG), 2017 on May 7. The Board has invited online application from medical aspirants for admission to MBBS/ BDS courses in India in medical/ dental colleges.

NEET 2017 will be conducted in 80 cities across the country. Around 10 lakh candidates are likely to appear in the exam to be held in 1500 examination centres.

Online applications can be submitted from January 31 to March 1, 2017. The application form can be downloaded from the website www.cbseneet.nic.in.

Admission to all seats of MBBS/MD courses will be made through NEET exam.

In 2016, more than 8 lakh candidates appeared for the entrance exam.

Earlier, the University Grants Commission (UGC) had decided that the medical aspirants can apply attempt only three times for NEET exam.

The UGC has also fixed the maximum age for general category candidates at 25 years. The age bar for reserved candidates will be 30 years. The minimum age to appear for NEET is 17 years.
