CBSE declares class X results of 11 regions, rest to be announced soon

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced its result for class X today on its official website cbse.nic.in. Until now, the results of 11 regions, including, Allahabad, Chennai, Delhi, Dehradun, Trivandrum, Ajmer, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, Madras, Guwahati and Patna have been announced. However, the board informed that the results of the other regions are also in the process of being uploaded.

As per PTI reports, the year witnessed a fall in the pass percentage of students who appeared for Class X board exams. It fell to 90.95% from 96.21% last year.

Trivandrum stood at first with the highest pass percentage of 99.85, followed by Chennai and Madras at 99.62% and Allahabad at 98.23%. Whereas Delhi and Guwahati scored the lowest with only 78.09% and 65.53%.

Last year, the pass percentage of the national’s capital was 91.76%. This year, the graph came down by a difference of 13.67%.

A total of 16,67,969 students appeared for the exams, of which 7,81,463 appeared for the school-based exam and the rest opted for the board exam.

According to reports, CBSE has partnered with Microsoft to provide the results through its search engine, Bing also.
