Poes Garden witnessed a high drama on Sunday morning when Late Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa Jayakumar, tried to enter her aunt’s bungalow and was allegedly stopped by Dinakaran’s supporters.

She alleged that the ruling AIADMK Deputy General Secretary, T T V Dhinakaran’s supporters restricted her from entering her aunt’s bungalow.

Meanwhile, AIADMK camp source said that Deepa made an unscheduled visit to the bungalow and wanted to garland a portrait of her late aunt kept on the front porch of the house.

The sources said, “suddenly, she wanted to enter the house to which we said we don’t have the authority to allow. We also pointed to her that the house was locked and asked her to leave the premises”.

Deepa’s supporters then staged a protest when she was not allowed to enter. However, following the scene, the atmosphere outside the ‘Veda Nilayam’ house became chaotic when police tried to keep away a crowd of people gathered there.

In response, Deepa said that here brother Deepak himself invited her for the ceremony and he was already there inside the house when she arrived.

However, in a phone call, Deepak said to Times Now that the residence of his late aunt belongs to him.

“Jaya was my only aunt. Poes Garden belongs to me”.
