Rahul Gandhi, a prominent Congress leader, has termed the recent AI Summit as a ‘disorganized PR spectacle’ amidst allegations that Chinese products are being highlighted at the event. He expressed concerns over India’s talent and data not being utilized effectively.

The controversy intensified with claims against Galgotias University, accused of showcasing a robotic dog, labeled ‘Orion,’ allegedly identical to China’s Unitree Go2. This has sparked criticism about disguising foreign technology as indigenous innovation.

The Congress party has accused the Modi government of damaging India’s global image in AI, suggesting that the portrayal of Chinese robots as Indian innovations could have long-term negative implications. Accusations were particularly targeted at Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for allegedly promoting these Chinese products.
