Amid the intense situation in several area of Delhi over protest against the amended Citizenship act, thhe government has ordered the suspension of cellular services in several areas of Delhi.

Airtel has confirmed that mobile internet services in parts of Delhi have been suspended on instructions received from the government. “SMS and data in certain areas in Delhi. Once the suspension orders are lifted, our services will be fully up and running. We’re sorry about.”

Section 144 has been imposed at Mandi House ahead of the planned protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. The gates to the Mandi House metro station, along with Vasant Vihar have been closed.
11:20 AM | Historian Ramchandra Guha, others detained during CAA protest
Historian Ramchandra Guha has been detained in Bengaluru for taking part in a protest against the amended Citizenship Act. Meanwhile, former MP Dharamvir Gandhi and Yogendra Yadav were also detained in Delhi.
