UP CM chairs 2nd Cabinet meet, ensures 24-hour power supply in UP

UP CM Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday chaired his second Cabinets meet. UP CM who has been very active since he took over the post as a Chief Minister, discussed a number issue and took several important decisions.

Firstly, the Cabinet agreed on the 24-hours power supply proposal through an agreement with the Centre. Union Power minister Piyush Goyal and the state government have set a deadline of September 18, 2018, to ensure 24×7 power supply throughout the state.

For better service, the Cabinet has also directed the state electricity department to replace the malfunctioning transformers within 2 days shortening the extended deadline of 72 hours.

Secondly, the Cabinet has decided to start the potato procurement immediately. The state decided to buy the potato produce at the rate of Rs 487 per quintal.

Thirdly, the Cabinet has also agreed to the proposal of making the roads of UP pothole-free by June 15. He has also ordered investigation probe into the works by the erstwhile government subject to expenditure over Rs 10 crore in state’s development authorities, including Noida, Greater Noida, Lucknow, Kanpur and Ghaziabad.

In addition, the CM also directed the police to launch an enquiry against land grab case and former DGP Jagmohan.
