We were the first to break the news that Riteish Deshmukh would be playing a dwarf in one of his upcoming films. Director Milap Zaveri’s Marjaavaan, which went on floors last week, seems to have taken a cue from the yet-to-be-released Zero film. The cast of the film stars Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh. Reports have now revealed that actor Riteish Deshmukh is all set to play a villain in the romantic action drama. However, Riteish’s character won’t be like any other villain, as the actor will be scaled down in size, and instead be a dwarf villain.
On Riteish’s dwarf-sized villain role, Milap Zaveri told Bollywood Hungama, “Riteish’s villainous role had to be better than the last time. I decided to raise the bar by scaling him down in size. Even though he is a dwarf, his character is larger than life. The part is extremely wicked with dark humour, great punch lines and some crazy face-off scenes with Sid.” While the shooting kicked off last week, Riteish Deshmukh is expected to join the cast soon.
The team of Marjaavaan had taken to social media to share the news of the start of their film. The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Emmay Entertainment’s Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani.
Actor Sidharth Malhotra, had earlier In another photo, posed while showing off his fist. A number of tattoos on his fingers which are a symbolic representation of different Indian religions which his character believes in could be seen. In the movie, Sidharth will be seen as a power-packed action hero who has strong beliefs. The film is slated to release on October 2, 2019.
