India’s Covid-19 death toll surged to 2,649 with the number of cases nearing the 82,000-mark. 3,967 new cases were recorded, and 100 deaths. Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to announce the next tranche of the govt’s stimulus package during a presser at 4pm today.
