Coronavirus outbreak: Baby Doll singer Kanika Kapoor tests positive for second time

Baby Doll singer Kanika Kapoor who received flak for hiding travel history and for being tested positive after coming back from the UK, once again tested positive for novel coronavirus. The singer’s second test of COVID-19 report came positive.

After having returned to India, Kanika travelled to Lucknow and then to Kanpur where she partied with high profile guests like MP Dushyant Singh and Vasundhra Raje Scindia. Kapoor failed to self isolate herself and met several people who are currently being tested too.

Out of the 162 people, Kanika met 63 tested negatives for COVID 19 and the results of the rest of the people are still being awaited. Post Kanika’s Coronavirus positive results, a sense of panic spread among her loved ones and cousins with whom she stayed in Lucknow and Kanpur.

The need for a second test for Kanika arose after her family raised doubts about the first reports of her being Coronavirus positive.

As per reports, her family members claimed that the results of Kanika showed her age to be 28 instead of 41 and the gender on them was printed as ‘Male.’

Post this, a second test was done and the reports of those also turned out to be COVID 19 positive. Kanika’s cousin at whose house she stayed also was under a state of panic after she tested positive with Coronavirus. The hotel where Kanika stayed has also reportedly shut down.

Lucknow Police also charged Kanika for negligence under sections 188, 269, and 270 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sarojini Nagar police station. The FIR was filed against Kanika on the complaint of the chief medical officer (CMO) of Lucknow.

Recently, while staying in the hospital, Kanika shared her experience of being ill-treated by the staff. She even complained that her treatment for Coronavirus wasn’t good enough.
