Confirmed COVID-19 cases in India have risen to 6,25,544, which includes 18,213 deaths, the Union Health Ministry said in it's latest update.
Out of the total number of infections, 2,27,439 are active cases and 3,79,891 have recovered.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc and Sanofi said on Thursday their rheumatoid arthritis drug Kevzara failed to meet the main goals of a US study testing it in the most critically ill COVID-19 patients.
"It is envisaged to launch the vaccine for public health use latest by 15th August 2020 after completion of all clinical trials. BBIL is working expeditiously to meet the target, however, final outcome will depend on the cooperation of all clinical trial sites involved in this project," the statement read.
