The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday issued summons to former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi and her son Tejashwi Yadav. They have been called in link with the alleged corruption case where maintenance contracts of two IRCTC hotels were provided to a private firm during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s tenure as railway minister.

While Rabri has been asked to appear on 10 October, Tejashwi was summoned on 11 October.

Just a day before, CBI summoned Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi in the same case. CBI scheduled them for October 3 and October 4 respectively, after they asked more time and were turned down.

Earlier, the duo had been summoned on 11 September and 12 September, but they did not turn up citing ongoing court cases. They were again asked to appear on 22 September, but on September 25, they sought a two-week extension. However, their request was turned down and a fresh summons was yet again issued for October 4 and 5.
