Delhi Patiala House Court has decided to declare order on July 30 on, if the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and their son Tejashwi Yadav has to be summoned along with the other 14 people who are charged with the hotel for land scam. The CBI on April 16 had filed a chargesheet against Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife, son and 14 other for allocating a management contract for two IRCTC hotels in Ranchi and Puri to a private company.

The CBI in July 2017 had raided the Yadav’s house and had questioned the then Bihar’s deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav and Rabri Devi. This had led to the coalition of already strained JDU-RJD gathbandhan.

The Yadav family is alleged to have received real estate recoil for wrongfully granting contracts to the bidder. It is said that the former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav had accepted the bribe in the form of three acres of land through a benami company.
