Cyberpunk 2077 hotfix 1.06

Cyberpunk 2077: Another hotfix patch update is been coming for Cyberpunk 2077 right before the holidays.  Update 1.06 is now rolling out for consoles and PCs for game bugs and crashes. The hotfix 1.06 update includes improvement in memory management and some much-needed stability for consoles, which is expected to reduce the number of crashes.

This update is very important for a small number of PC users that may have pushed the previous 8MB save file limit which was leading to corrupted save files. Before this, if players collected or crafted too many items in their inventory, their save files would exceed 8 MB and become corrupted. As confirmed by developers this update won’t fix save files that were corrupted before the update.

This update also includes a bug fix for the game quest. As of now, the NPC Dum Dum will no longer go missing from Totentanz’s entrance during the Second Conflict mission.

Notably, Cyberpunk 2077 is notoriously filled with several issues and bugs, so these constant hotfixes are much needed to fix those problems.

Earlier this week in a regulatory filing released by developer CD Projekt for its investors, reveals the game has sold over 13 million copies as of Dec 20. Although on its own that figure is very impressive, it gets even more so when you realize it factors in all the refunds that have been requested.

Not to forget but Cyberpunk 2077 went on sale on December 10, and is averaging 1.3 million sales per day.
