Aurangabad: A Dalit teenager’s body has been found in a beheaded condition in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad district, his parents were attacked with sharp weapons over suspicions that the boy’s elder brother had “lured away” a girl from the Other Backward Class (OBC) community.

On March 14, the incident surfaced at Lakh Khandala village in Vaijapur taluka on the night the Police identified the deceased as Bhimraj Balasaheb Gaikwad (17). His father Balasaheb and mother Alka were directly taken to a government hospital in Aurangabad city for treatment.

Bhimraj’s funeral rites were done on the afternoon of March 15.

The social media was more tensed about this matter, with several messages on the incident going viral on social media.

As per an FIR lodged by Bhimraj’s mother Alka, police on March 15 arrested two accused in this case identified as Devidas Devkar – the father of the missing girl – and his brother Rohidas Devkar under sections of the IPC and the SC/ST Act.

Family of Bhimraj has accused the police of ignoring the alleged death threats given to them by the alleged killers.

As per the information provided by the family, On March 12, Bhimraj’s elder brother Amol left home on March 12 for work but did not return to home. On the same day, the girl belonging to the Devkar family went missing the same day, so her family lodged a missing person’s complaint.

On the same day, the girl’s brother Sagar went to Gaikwad’s house and threatened to kill all the family members if they did not bring back his sister and Amol the next day.
