The much awaited trailer of wrestling drama Dangal was released on Thursday. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal is the story of real life Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who trained his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat to become world-class wrestlers. While Aamir plays Mahavir Singh Phogat, his daughters Babita and Geeta are played by Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh respectively.
The trailer is intense, inspiring and depicts a plethora of emotions. From a father’s desire of having a male child to carry on his legacy of wrestling, to his dedication towards his daughter’s training, Aamir Khan perfects the role of an ageing wrestler as his daughters provide a fresh take on wrestling from a women’s perspective.
