Deepika Padukone is currently shooting in Delhi for her upcoming release Chhapaak. Yesterday a picture of the actress from the sets in her character Malti was doing rounds on the social media. Now, a new leaked video from the sets is going viral in which she is seen along with her Chhapaak co-star Vikrant Massey.
In the video, Deepika is seen getting off the bike while Vikrant is riding it. Also, the actress is donning a simple yellow kurta along with white salwar. The video seems to be an important scene from the film considering the expressions of the duo.
A few days back, the actress was mobbed by fans while shooting in Janpath.
Since the first look of the actress as Malti has come out, the fans are very excited to know more about her film. This is the first time a mainstream actress is playing the role of an acid attack survivor. It also marks Deepika’s first production venture.
The film is based on the real-life story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal who was attacked by a 32-year-old man when she rejected his advances. Deepika will be retelling the inspiring story of how Laxmi fought back and the hardships she has faced after the incident.
Chhapaak is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
