A Delhi court on Monday pronounced Kuldeep Sengar guilty of kidnapping and raping of a minor in Unnao in 2017.
Sengar, who has been an MLA from Unnao for 17 years, was arrested last year for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old in the Uttar Pradesh district in June 2017.
Delhi court to hear arguments on quantum on sentence for Sengar on Wednesday.
The court had on August 9 framed charges against the MLA and Singh under Sections 120 b (criminal conspiracy), 363 (kidnapping), 366 (kidnapping or inducing a woman to compel for marriage), 376 (rape) and other relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
