The Delhi Police registered an FIR against Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad on Friday.He was booked under sections 308 and 355, amounting to culpable homicide and criminal assault.

On Thursday, the MP repeatedly hit a 60-year-old Air India officer with his slippers.
“Air India and the member airlines of the Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA) that includes IndiGo, Jet Airways, SpiceJet and Go Air, condemn the assault on an Air India staff member by a passenger who happens to be a Member of Parliament on March 23, 2017,” a joint statement from Air India and the FIA said.
Moreover, an association of airlines has decided that Ravindra Gaikwad, a Shiv Sena MP who assaulted a staff member of Air India, will not be allowed on flights with immediate effect.
Air India cancelled the MP’s ticket to fly on Friday from Delhi to Pune; so did Indigo, after the politician tried his luck with the private carrier.
