Delhi: Youth killed neighbour on suspicion of black magic

In Delhi‘s Prasad Nagar a young man killed his neighbour on the suspicion that he performed occult on his father. A month after the incident the police have arrested the accused on Tuesday in West Bengal. The man has been identified as Vishu aged 30 years.

On the night of October 26, Vishu allegedly killed 60 years old Ranjan by slashing his throat. The incident took place in lane number 2 of Tank Road.

While inquiring into the incident, under the guidance of SHO Vikramjeet Singh and Inspector Premlata, SI Sohanlal’s team came to the knowledge that the accused elder brother stays in Howrah. As the address was not known to the police, they searched door to door for 20 days and finally nabbed Vishu.

According to the police, Vishu is natively from Tripura and in the year 2000, he came to Delhi with his family. Later, Vishu’s two brothers left the city.

Vishu’s father, Subash, died of a tumour two years back. On contacting an occultist, Vishu was told that his neighbour had performed some black magic on his father, resulting in Subash’ death. On the basis of this suspicion, he slashed Ranjan’s throat.
