DRDO Recruitment 2025: DRDO is short for Defence Research and Development Organisation. It’s the main body in India that makes new technology for the military. It works under the Ministry of Defence and was started in 1958. Over the years, it grew big with more than 50 labs across the country.

DRDO mostly builds things like missiles, drones, fighter planes, tanks, radars and more. Some of its famous work includes Agni and Prithvi missiles and the Tejas fighter jet.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has started accepting applications for new Scientist ‘B’ positions. Anyone who’s interested and eligible can go to the official website drdo.gov.in and apply before the last date, which is July 4, 2025. This hiring is happening under Advt. No. 156 and it’s part of a bigger recruitment drive across DRDO and other departments under the Ministry of Defence.

In total there are 152 posts up for grabs. Most of them, around 127, are for Scientist ‘B’ roles in DRDO itself. Besides that, there are 9 openings for Scientist/Engineer ‘B’ in ADA, and 9 more for Encadred posts of Scientist ‘B’. So if you’ve been aiming for a scientific career in defence services, this is a good opportunity.

DRDO Recruitment 2025: Application fee

If you belong to the General, EWS or OBC (male) categories, you’ll need to pay Rs 100 to apply. But if you’re a woman, or from SC, ST, or Divyangjan categories, then you don’t need to pay anything. That part is totally free.
