When you think getting access to the new ₹2000 is tough, think again. When the whole nation is reeling under severe cash crunch, the new notes are flying high, like literally, at a programme organised by a famous Gujarati folk singer Kirtidan Gadhvi.
In a video that Newsd accessed, a woman and a man are seen showering the new currency notes on the artiste.
Newsd, however, couldn’t independently verify the video.
On November 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced that the old ₹500 and ₹1000 currency notes will not be legal tender.
Since then, the country has been coming to terms with demonetisation as bank ATMs are witnessing serpentine queues due to shortage of new notes.
