The first track, “Crown”, taking the lead, becomes the fastest and hardest dance song in the album that plays around with the mixing of genres, incorporating Atlanta trap drums, heavy metal guitars, and EDM synths for a loud and powerful dramatic soundscape.
Metaphorically, they are like a crown that is worn on the head to show one’s love and care for another person, so to say, which the group has coughed out with their boldness and emotional maturity.

“Back It Up” is another track whose chatter among fans is very much alive already being an intense performance track that is meant for live stages.
On the other hand, “I’m Home” wraps the listener in love and nostalgia by its soft ballad arrangement which creates a very touching contrast in the album’s sonic area of influence.

The album title, REVERXE, is a stylized version of the word “reverse”, of which the meanings of coming back, going back to the root, or re-defining past paths are done in a new daring way. The album comes with EXO’s discography tradition of storytelling and universe-style lore along with their music and visuals.
