A viral post on social media is doing rounds that two days ago, a farmer couple who was bullied by police torture in Madhya Pradesh, died.
On Tuesday, the police team in Guna had gone to release an occupied government land. When the Dalit husband and wife protested against the action, the police personnel assaulted them. The farmer couple were protesting against the ravages of the crop in the field from JCB.
Saddened by the incident, both of them had drunk the pesticide. They are undergoing treatment. Responses have started coming from all over the country within 48 hours of the incident. The collector and SP of Guna have been removed.
The common people are calling out the police for the brutality on social media. In the meantime, suddenly, there were some claims that began to spread on social media that the farmer couple who had been drinking pesticides had died. People are also sharing this news as true.

However, we did not get any news on any news platform, which proves that the couple who consumed pesticides in Guna has died.
This incident has been tweeted by Rahul Gandhi and Mayawati just hours before. They also do not mention the death of farmers.

A media portal contacted SK Srivastava, civil surgeon of Guna, for accurate information about the health of the farmers. He told: The news of the couple’s death is fake. They are both healthy.
Guna’s independent journalist Ashish Raghuvanshi said in a conversation with a Fact Check team of media portal- “I have met the farmer couple three times. Both are completely healthy.”
