Fans eagerly anticipate release date for Joker 2 movie trailer: Warner Bros. has just unveiled a brand-new poster for Todd Phillips’ upcoming psychological thriller Joker 2, also known as Joker: Folie à Deux. In conjunction with the long-awaited trailer’s release date and the return of pop icon Lady Gaga from her role in the original film (2019), the studio teased the release date of the trailer.
With a new poster, Warner Bros. declares the release date of the Joker 2 trailer.
On April 9, the US will see the first trailer for Joker 2, also known as Joker: Folie à Deux. Lady Gaga will play Harley Quinn for the first time in the Batman sequel. Joaquin Phoenix will play Arthur Fleck. The billboard shows both figures dancing in suits and dresses, wearing clown makeup. Fans will expect a musical preview since the film is marketed as such.

Interestingly, the US Joker poster (below) shows him having a cigarette, whereas the UK one does not. Even though it’s weird, Zazie Beetz, who will play Arthur’s old neighbor Sophie Drummond, said the genre change “makes perfect sense”.
“That didn’t exactly surprise me,” Todd has always presented the character creatively. Adds, “I adore musicals and imagine the characters as if they are experiencing and feeling so much that they can only express themselves through song and dance, whether in happiness or sorrow.”
