If rumours are to be believed, then Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan are coming together to remake Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Satte Pe Satta’.
According to a report in DNA, there has been a legal issue going on regarding the rights of the movie. “The tussle for the rights to remake ‘Satte Pe Satta’ has been on in court for over a couple of years. Hopefully, it will be sorted soon,” a source was quoted as saying by the daily.
The source further said, “Rohit is certain that he won’t proceed with this subject until he acquires the rights. That’s the process he has always followed whenever he has opted to remake any movie. Of course, he will re-tell the story in his trademark larger-than-life style. But things will be clearer only after the rights issue is resolved.”
In February this year, the ‘Om Shanti Om’director (Farah Khan) told BT, “Sometimes, the universe conspires to give you what you didn’t even imagine. Together with Rohit, who I genuinely love as a brother and whose work ethic I respect and share, I can only promise a mother of all entertainers! I can’t wait to say ‘Roll, camera…’ for this one.”
However, neither Farah Khan nor Rohit Shetty have confirmed officially if they are remaking Big B’s popular film.
