New Delhi, Dec 3 (IANS) Representatives from various farmer organisations will meet the Union Ministers over their reservations with regards to the three farm laws.

The meeting will happen in the Vigyan Bhawan. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Prakash, will also attend the meeting. All the three ministers were also present in the earlier meetings.

According to the information received from the Union Ministry of Agriculture, representatives from all the farmer organisations have been invited to this meeting, who attended the December 1 meeting.

This is the fourth round of talks between the farmer leaders with the Union Ministers regarding the new Union agricultural laws.

The agitation by farmers on the Delhi borders continues since November 26, and is gradually spreading to other parts of the country. Farmer associations from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh as well as from many other states and the Transport associations have supported the farmer agitations.

Farmer leaders have warned to intensify their protests if the fourth round of talks with the Union government fails on Thursday. In a statement issued by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha after the meeting of the farmers’ organisations on the Singhu border on Wednesday, they said they would intensify the protests if talks with the government on Thursday failed to reach a consensus.

Earlier on Tuesday, 35 farmers’ organisations held a meeting with Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Piyush Goyal and Union Minister of State Som Prakash which failed to reach a concrete solution.

The farmer leaders in a press conference on Wednesday evening said, “The government should not falsely propagate that this movement is limited to only a few states and sections of society.”
