FMGE January 2026 Results: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, also called NBEMS, has released the FMGE December 2025 results on January 29, 2026. The exam was held on January 17, 2026. This year 43,933 students appeared for the test. Out of them, 10,264 students passed the exam. A total of 32,604 students did not pass. Around 1,061 students were absent on exam day. The results of 4 students have been kept on hold.
Students can check their result on the official website natboard.edu.in. NBEMS has also clearly said that passing the exam does not mean final approval. If any student is later found not eligible, their result can still be cancelled.

Questions were checked again after the exam
NBEMS said the exam paper was checked carefully after the test. The board explained this in its official notice. It said, “Each and every question asked in question paper of FMGE December 2025 was reviewed by faculty members from the concerned specialty area after the conduct of FMGE December 2025 to re-check for technical correctness of the questions as well as answer keys.”
The board also found some issues during this review. NBEMS said, “One question has been found to be technically incorrect and marks have been given to all candidates who have appeared in the examination. One of the questions has two correct answers and marks have been given to those candidates who have chosen either of the correct answer, the official notice states.”
How to check FMGE result?
Students can check the FMGE January 2026 result by following these steps.
- Go to the official NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in.
- Click on the FMGE result link shown on the homepage.
- A result PDF will open on the screen.
- Download the PDF and save it for future use.
NBEMS has also shared details about the scorecard. Students who passed will be able to download their individual scorecards from February 6, 2026. The scorecard will only be available for six months. After that time the no request will be accepted. Students are advised to keep the scorecard safe.

FMGE 2026 Pass Certificate details
NBEMS will give the FMGE 2026 pass certificate only after checking the student’s identity and documents. These certificates will be given in person and the board will soon publish the full schedule on natboard.edu.in.
